There are 17M hungry people in Yemen – that’s two-thirds of the country’s population! Millions of them are children.
Yemen grows little of its own food and must import 90 percent of it, but the war has severely limited imports. Abeer Etefa of the World Food Program said, “we have the largest food crisis in the world in this country…Almost half the population is on the edge of famine. … It’s just a huge crisis.”
