Regional Leaders Pressure South Sudan Leader to End Conflict

The FT says neighboring countries are losing patience with the spillover effects of civil war. The rapidly deteriorating political, security, humanitarian and economic situation in the country has caused unprecedented displacement, famine, and growing civilian flight.

“African leaders have demanded that South Sudan’s warring factions hold talks to end an escalating conflict that has killed tens of thousands of people, forced millions of others to flee their homes and triggered a famine.”
